Culinary Elite
After a combined total of 28 years in the eatery biz, owners Scott Breshears and Kelin Jones have garnered every skill of kitchen management and creative cookery. In an interesting twist of fate, Jones started his career with Breshears at the helm in a small pizza shop in Mission Valley in 2004. When the restaurant closed, they went their separate ways. Kelin went on to work the Italian vibe as one of the best dough spinners in San Diego. Scott progressed into management and sous chef in top downtown kitchens.
In 2015, a downtown restaurant opened with Scott at the helm as executive chef… Imagine his surprise when Jones showed up for the sous chef position! It didn’t take long to realize that they clicked and success was inevitable. They both had dreams of having their own kitchen, so after research and careful planning, they launched Culinary Elite in July of this year.
They positioned their skills, marketing brand, clean cut look, new equipment and extra compliant cleanliness into a top notch food booth and took it “to the streets”. Rancho Santa Fe Market was top on their list to introduce their new business, and they launched their first week of business in October 2017. “CE” is already booking holiday events and dinners, company gigs and celebrations for catering with great reviews. Their booth features comfort food with an upscale slant Philly Cheese Steak vibe, using authentic rolls from Philly. Don’t miss a chance to taste the incredible flavors they offer – Market-goers are constantly raving about their creations!

Helen Woodward Animal Center Pet Of The Week
Indigo Shines Bright!
Indigo is a sweet girl with a bright personality. This two and a half year old Labrador Retriever blend is happy with a toy in her mouth and a good friend by her side. She loves a good cuddle session and exciting game of fetch! At 43 lbs. she makes an excellent exercise buddy. She’s looking forward to exploring San Diego in 2021 with her new forever family.
Indigo is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Her adoption fee is $314. She has been altered and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, she is micro-chipped for identification.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6523 Helen Woodward Way in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Friday 12 to 6 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing).
