Fall has graced us with yet another beautiful day at the Market and it’s the perfect day to bring your family and friends for a fun filled Market experience! This week be sure to stop by our vendor of the week’s booth, Oh La Vache, for some delicious pastries, crepes or specialty breads, yum!

Rancho Santa Fe Fresh Market Recipe
Roasted Jack & Havarti Baby Bells
- 12 mini bell peppers, sliced in half lengthwise (Sage Mountain Farms)
- 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, diced (Sage Mountain Farms)
- 1/4 cup peperoncini peppers, diced (Sage or African Sisters Farm)
- 1/4 cup red onion, diced (Valdivia Farm)
- 1/4 cup green onions, diced (African Sisters Farm)
- 1 cup grated Havarti Cheese (Thyme of Essence)
- 1 cup grated Pepper Jack Cheese (Thyme of Essence)
- 4 ounces Cream Cheese room temperature (Thyme of Essence)
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (Thyme of Essence)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon creole seasonings
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
In a medium pan add about 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat, add roasted red peppers, red and green onion, peperoncini, season with spices and saute for about 5 minutes, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
In a medium bowl add Havarti and Jack cheese, cream cheese, remaining olive oil and hot sauce, mix well. Add cooled vegetables and mix well.
Stuff mixture into sliced peppers.
Melted Method: Broil for about 3-5 minutes are until cheese melts. YUM!

“Grady” Packs Star Power!
Meet Grady, Pet-of-the-Week at Helen Woodward Animal Center! This nearly 2-year old, 20lb male Basset Hound/Retriever blend is an active dog who just loves to be with people and adores outdoor time. He has perfect manners- other than the occasional stolen kiss- but he’s so sweet we promise you won’t mind. Grady packs tons of athleticism and love in such a tiny package, we’re sure the right family with scoop him up soon!
Grady is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. He has been altered and is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $119, and, as with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, he is micro-chipped for identification. As an added bonus, he also comes with two free passes to Sea World!
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm; Fridays from noon to 6pm
