Flippin’ Awesome Soaps
My name is Sarah and I’m addicted to making amazing soaps.
I take great pride in my handcrafted soaps, and I source as many local and sustainable ingredients as possible to ensure that my products are as good for the earth as they are good for your skin! I use cruelty-free Tussah silk, raw local honey, organic goats milk, and home-brewed kombucha and beer, among other things. All my soaps are chock full of luxury butters and oils, and are always free of palm oil, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, and petroleum by-products.
Making soap never ceases to amaze me: It’s almost like a type of sorcery, or witchcraft, or mad science! I continue to be fascinated by the subtle nuances of soapmaking: How the simple act of substituting one oil for another can result in a completely different bar of soap – more bubbles, more creaminess, harder, softer. How experimenting with botanical colorants can be so unexpected. I love how there are so many amazing ingredients laying around the house that can be used in soap – coffee, beer, kombucha, turmeric, cocoa… One day I found myself gazing at my flock of backyard chickens and wondering if I could use their eggs in soap…a quick google search later proved that yes! I can! And the soap that results is amazing!

Green Bean is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. His adoption fee is $184. He has been altered and is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, he is micro-chipped for identification.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm; Fridays from noon to 7pm; Saturdays 10am to 6pm; and Sunday 11am to 6pm (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing).
