Dear Friends,
Have a wonderful Sunday
with us at the Rancho Santa Fe Farmers Market! It’s going to be a gorgeous, 70° day full of wonderful vendors, beautiful music, smiling faces, delicious food, and the best Farmers Market shopping around! This Sunday, be sure to stop by our Vendor of the Week, Nesting Instinct, to admire their gorgeous, handmade fabric creations and embroidered goods. We’re in love with their aprons! As you browse the market, Robert Parker will be playing live, original music for us. See you there!

Remember, to bring an ice chest in your car or on wheels so you can relax and enjoy a nice lunch made fresh for you right at the market. Take a few minutes to slow down and enjoy our live entertainment with your family and friends in the comfort of new Market umbrellas, bistro tables and cafe chairs!

Vendor Spotlight

Nesting Instinct

Nesting Instinct creates unique, handmade fabric items for the home, including embroidered pillows, aprons, totes, runner/napkin sets and baby items. We make everything from scratch, and can make items in custom colors or with names embroidered! We love finding vintage items at tag sales and reinventing them for use in the 21st century. We enjoy scouring the San Diego and Los Angeles areas for unique fabric, trims, needlepoints and vintage linens to use in our products.

We are two “empty nesters” with lots of energy and fascination with fabrics, colors, and a love for improving our own homes by creating beautiful items. In the year since we “hatched” the Nesting Instinct concept, we have acquired a fabulous embroidery machine, honed our sewing & embroidery skills, and explored Los Angeles and San Diego fabric sources. Our items are totally made by us, and our goal is to produce tasteful, quality, professionally sewn items. We make each item in our dedicated work room, which is clean and smoke free. Fun fact – Our friendship began 50 years ago in junior high and included making gym bags the now-defunct Home Economics class together in 7th grade!

We hope you enjoy looking in our Nesting Instinct Shop!

Helen Woodward Animal Center Pet Of The Week

“Cubby” Bounces Into Hearts!

If you’ve never seen a loaf of bread do tricks for treats then you’re in for a treat of your own! Cubby might look like a freshly baked loaf of sourdough, but she’s actually a two-year old Jack Russel Terrier blend who is available for adoption from Helen Woodward Animal Center. She has very good people manners and potty manners. She knows some commands and how to play a rousing game of fetch. She’s just the complete package! She’s got tons of personality and she’s sweeter than you can imagine. Come meet her today!

Cubby is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Her adoption fee is $321. She has been altered and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations.  As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, she is micro-chipped for identification.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm; Fridays from noon to 7pm; Saturdays 10am to 6pm; and Sunday 11am to 6pm (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing). For more information call 858-756-4117, option #1 or visitwww.animalcenter.org.
