Bread Bar
Inspired by the Slow Food Movement and independent farmers and craftspeople, Breadbar offers a wide array of breads, pastries and menu items dedicated to the season.
Artisanal bread – bread like ours that is baked by a process of traditional breadcraft – has a stunningly simple core recipe: it consists of nothing more than flour, water, some salt and an agent of fermentation. The “art” of artisanal bread resides in the capacity of the skilled craftsperson to transform these four basic ingredients into an array of glorious breads. This artisanal process requires due time and depends above all on the joint intelligence of the baker’s mind and hands.
We bake the finest artisanal, all-natural homemade breads in Southern California. Our passion extends from classic traditional French breads to a full line of pastries and desserts, all infused with a contemporary American flair.

Helen Woodward Animal Center Pet Of The Week
Jango the Gentle Giant
Weighing in at 90 lbs, Jango’s large size matches his large heart. This 4-year-old Siberian Husky blend has nothing but love to share. He walks around with the cutest waddle, letting his beautiful thick coat sway back and forth. He can’t wait to snuggle and smile with a new forever family.
He’s waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. His adoption fee is $365. He has been altered and is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, he is micro-chipped for identification.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6523 Helen Woodward Way in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Friday 12 to 6 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing).
