Welcome to Monstrous Cookies! We have handpicked the best recipes that have been shared across generations of matriarchs, and brought them to cookie lovers across San Diego. These cookies encapsulate everything that is delicious about homemade cookies: made from scratch with no mixes, traditional baking methods, and the finest and freshest ingredients available!

We offer a variety of delectable flavors, including Chocolate Chip, Sugar, Peanut Butter, Lemon Crisp, Peppermint, and more!

About the Founder

JT Bigelow, the founder of Monstrous Cookies, faced countless challenges finding employment. Despite applying for numerous positions and attending interviews, he repeatedly encountered closed doors. Rather than giving up, JT decided to create his own opportunity by starting a business built around something he genuinely loves: baking delicious cookies.

His vision extended far beyond creating great treats. JT wanted to build a business that would not only allow him to pursue his passion but also create opportunities for other individuals on the autism spectrum and people with disabilities who face similar barriers to employment. Through Monstrous Cookies, he has continued to develop valuable communication, organizational, and workplace skills while building a business that reflects his strengths and determination.

With support from the San Diego Regional Center’s Coordinated Career Pathways program and the Self-Determination Program, JT worked alongside microbusiness development specialists to create a business plan tailored to his interests and abilities. His father, Devin, helped launch the business by providing funding and assisting with licensing, organization, and daily operations. Today, Monstrous Cookies is more than a cookie company—it’s a wonderful example of perseverance, entrepreneurship, and the impact of a supportive community.

Monstrous Cookies is also committed to supporting autism initiatives, donating 5% of every sale to the Autism Society of San Diego.
