Helen Woodward Animal Center Pet Of The Week
Goodness Gracious Gracie!
Gracie’s road to companionship has been 2500 miles in the making. This sweet girl spent the first leg of her life living in Maui animal shelters, where a forever home can be quite difficult to find. Then everything changed in August when a series of infernos burned their way across Maui. Shelters became overburdened with people’s lost pets. In order to make space for a further influx of missing furry family members, shelters sent their longer-term orphan residents like Gracie to the mainland. Gracie didn’t deserve such a harsh start to her life. This 2-year-old shepherd blend is an upbeat, silly girl who loves to play fetch and tug-o-war. When she wins (and she almost always wins) she’ll do a celebratory roll in the grass, eagerly awaiting the belly scratches she most definitely deserves. Gracie’s would love to go to a home where she can be the star of the show with lots of room to play.
Gracie is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Her adoption fee is $385 plus a $35 microchip fee. She has been altered and is up-to-date on all of their vaccinations. She is microchipped for identification as with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6523 Helen Woodward Way in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Friday 12 to 6 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing).
