San Diego, where we are based, is among the top ten worst cities in the US for human trafficking, the fastest growing form of organized crime. Our strategic location and the specific skills of our team members allow us to partner with local nonprofits serving survivors and play a needed role in their rehabilitation process.

Edinburgh is the King of Your Heart
Edinburgh, a 5-month-old Catahoula leopard dog, has been waiting for your arrival. This goofy young prince came to the Center at only 10 weeks old from the land of Louisiana. Immediately, he charmed the courtiers of Helen Woodward Animal Center with his playful personality. As his stay at the Center’s court prolonged, he demonstrated an affinity for going on walks and playing with toys in the fields. However, he also demonstrated he has the disposition of a king. He makes his presence known to the other knights staying at the Center, sometimes to the detriment of realm cohesion. But, Edinburgh is not a grumpy vagabond; when he’s introduced to the right canine companions, he thrives in the social environment. Thus, any kingdom looking to take this sweet prince home must first introduce any caknights to him first, to ensure stability for the realm. Edinburgh would also prefer to go home to a kingdom with an older and wiser council – no children under 8 – and who have experience playing host to such a commanding poochie. Come! See if Edinburgh is the true king of your heart today!
Edinburgh is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. His adoption fee is $429 plus a $36 microchip fee each. He has been altered and is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. Edinburgh is microchipped for identification as with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are now open seven days a week. Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call 858-756-4117, extension #1, or visit animalcenter.org.
