Le Beignet

Le Beignet is a vegan beignet business based in San Diego, specializing in fresh, plant-based versions of the classic French pastry. As you bite into Le Beignet, the crisp exterior gives a satisfying crunch right before you are swept away by the pillowy softness inside, offering a harmonious balance of textures – so good that even non-vegans love them!

Le Beignet was born from our love for pastries and a desire to make them accessible to everyone, especially those who follow a plant-based lifestyle. Living in San Diego, I was inspired by the vibrant food scene and noticed a lack of vegan options for classic French pastries, such as beignets. I saw an opportunity to combine my passion for baking with my commitment to sustainability and inclusivity.

I spent countless hours in the kitchen, experimenting with recipes to create a vegan beignet that could rival the traditional version. Once I perfected it, I started sharing them at local events, farmer’s markets, and private gatherings. The response was incredible! San Diego embraced our beignets, and it was clear we had something special.

From there, we shifted our focus to sharing Le Beignet at events and private corporate gatherings, bringing fresh, plant-based beignets to people in a more personal and memorable way. Whether it’s a community celebration or a tailored experience for a corporate team, our goal is to deliver the same joy and flavor that have made our beignets so beloved. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’re excited to continue expanding our unique selections with seasonal flavors to create moments of connection through our pastries. San Diego has been an amazing community to grow with, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to share our passion.

It is a truly delectable fluffy Beignet, a golden ball of culinary bliss with a flavor that is rich but not heavy and slightly sweet. It carries just enough of the yeasty warmth to feel like a comforting treat. We offer a variety of flavors, including seasonal and custom options. Served alongside a cup of freshly brewed café or hot chocolate, our pastries truly are perfect for any occasion.

Our mission is to bring people together, which is why we’ve embraced farmer’s markets, as well as catering for private and corporate events. From weddings and community gatherings to team celebrations and parties, we craft personalized experiences that make every occasion unforgettable.

Coral Will Protect Your Heart

Your future best friend awaits at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Coral is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd blend with a heart of gold and she’s looking for the right person to share it with. This gorgeous girl is quick to make friends and will do everything in her power to make sure her friends are happy. Coral is happiest when she’s making her pals smile. It doesn’t matter if she has to chase a toy around the yard or stay faithfully by their side on walks, this Aussie aims to bring joy. She also can get along great with other dogs, but we recommend introducing them at the Center first before making the plunge to take her home. Coral has a ton of love to give, but it can be a little overbearing to those without experience, so we recommend she goes to a forever family without kids and who have the patience to make her feel comfortable. Once you give this sweet girl the time she needs to get adjusted, you won’t have a better friend in your life.

Coral is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Her adoption fee is $320 plus a $36 microchip fee. She has been altered and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. Coral is microchipped for identification as with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open seven days a week; Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call 858-756-4117, extension #1, or visit animalcenter.org.
