Love, Dreams, and Pie
A note from the Owner:
Our pies are handcrafted using the highest quality ingredients, and we source avocados, lavender and fruit from our organic farm. Our crew have been working together for ten years to cater and bake for events we’ve hosted at our farm. They are talented and dedicated to our mission to have the best pies and baked goods available!
Pies, for me, were the essence of family life and comfort, as I grew up with my Grama Nola. She had her own orchard and garden; that harvest would go into her pies! And her pies were the best! She would have me stand on a step stool to roll out pie crust dough and pies became part of who I am. Over the years, unable to find pies as good as my Grama’s, I have been baking my own. Also, we have developed gluten free and vegan pies and baked goods to meet the dietary needs of our clients.
Beyond my love for baking, my other motivation for starting Love, Dreams & Pie are my children: Alex and Kara, who are special needs adults. After being a special needs mother for 23 years, I have come to realize that there is a real gap in services for special needs adults that would allow them to pursue their dreams and what they love. To provide services and places to educate and heal special needs adults and provide opportunities for love and dreams, we are forming a non-profit, “Love and Dreams Equality for special needs adults.” The profits from our baking can help to fund these programs.

Helen Woodward Animal Center Pet Of The Week
“Love” Is All You Need
In honor of Mother’s Day coming up, this week’s Pet of the Week is a new mom herself! ‘Love’ the German Shepherd blend is sweet and affectionate, and truly lives up to her name. She was rescued in Texas and gave birth to 9 puppies just a few days before she arrived at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Her puppies have all found homes, and now it’s Love’s turn to find her happy ending. Love is 22-months-old, 55 pounds and would simply love to join your family!
She’s waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Her adoption fee is $385. She has been altered and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. As with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center, she is micro-chipped for identification.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6523 Helen Woodward Way in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are open daily Monday through Friday 12 to 6 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last application accepted 15 minutes before closing).
