DAR JAMAI
Our Story
I was formerly active in the field of sales for over a decade while the love of fashion has been a never-ending fire burning inside my heart.
Fashion comes from the power of creativity. It’s rooted in a magical creative process, which begins in the limitless world of our imagination all the way to becoming a real physical object.
At some point while I was on my journey, going forward on this mesmerizing road which we call life, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel condition that affects the lining of the digestive tract. This diagnosis had a very large impact on my life.
When I was slowly accepting that I had to live with this disease, life had another surprise for me. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with a second chronic disease, Fibromyalgia, which causes widespread muscle pain and tenderness.
The combination of both illnesses meant spending the majority of my time inside my home and getting used to the walls around me, just like a prisoner would be forced to get used to the prison cell. While in this darkness, the love of fashion combined with the interest of creation suddenly became the light I was desperately seeking. The idea of creating DAR JAMAI and perfumes sparked a beautiful fire of motivation in me and slowly consumed my thoughts.
I decided to simply, create!
My creation brought joy and happiness to me and put a never-ending smile on my face. They made me stronger and more tolerant of my physical pain. They manifested hope and goals. They are not just some fancy creations. They are the force behind my movement and the lifeblood of a new bright beginning in the heart of my darkness.

Sweet as Peach Pie
If Mama Peaches could talk, she’d probably tell you how much you’ve grown since she’s last seen you and how you look just like your mother or father. If Mama Peaches had opposable thumbs, she’d probably use them to pinch your cheeks, despite the fact that you’re a grown adult and not 10 years old any more. If Mama Peaches could cook, she’d probably serve you FAR too much of her “world famous” chicken pot pie before complaining that you don’t eat enough. But Mama Peaches won’t do any of these things. Because, despite having the loving personality of your grandma, Mama Peaches is a cat. But she’s a cat who loves you very much.
Mama Peaches is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Her adoption fee is $135 plus a $36 microchip fee. She has been altered and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. She is microchipped for identification as with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center.
Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are now open seven days a week. Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call 858-756-4117, extension #1, or visit animalcenter.org.
