Jouls Wayuu Bags

About Us

Every extraordinary design has its roots in an even more captivating narrative. I’m Julie, and I invite you to embark on my journey. Since childhood, the world of fashion design has held an irresistible allure for me. However, it was in 2018 that I stumbled upon a revelation – Colombia’s Wayuu Bags. Instantly, I found myself enraptured by the brilliance, ingenuity, and matriarchal status of the indigenous Wayuu women. What began as a mere fascination has blossomed into an impassioned pursuit of crafting one-of-a-kind handbags. I owe an immense debt of gratitude to the Wayuu tribe artisans who graciously collaborate with me, breathing life into my designs. It’s a tale that transcends mere craftsmanship; it’s a testament to the power of women empowering women. I started my business to blend my love for design with the aspiration to showcase women’s entrepreneurship, offering my daughters a tangible example of female empowerment and success… It’s a place where creativity flourishes, and where we support and empower each other as women.

Helen Woodward Animal Center Pet Of The Week

Harvey Lives in Your Lap!

There’s a new millionaire mogul at Helen Woodward Animal Center, and his secret to success will SHOCK you. Harvey, a 5-month-old Australian Cattle Dog-Blue Heeler blend has become the first EVER business dog to reach Forbes’s 30 under 30 list. Over the past four months this tug-o-war loving, playful pooch has accumulated more than 45 properties with zero startup capital. His secret? He just plops in peoples’ laps. “One day he came up to me with a toy in his mouth and sat in my lap,” Joana Quijada – one of Harvey’s residences – said. “I gave him snuggies and scratchies, and now he comes back whenever he wants.” We reached out to Harvey for comment, but he didn’t say anything… because he’s a dog.

Harvey is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. His adoption fee is $135 plus a $36 microchip fee. He has been altered and is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. He is microchipped for identification as with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are now open seven days a week. Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call 858-756-4117, extension #1, or visit animalcenter.org.
