SITA Couture

About Us

SITA Couture is an LA-based, woman-owned lifestyle brand. We exist to inspire. We provide women with sustainably sourced, locally manufactured, and effortlessly stylish garments.

SITA Couture empowers women to look and feel their absolute best with styles that comfortably embrace the feminine figure without overwhelming or distracting from the natural beauty within.

SITA Couture’s line of elegant spa-wear incorporates wellness and holistic health with fashion. The brand was created by former dancer and model, Sita Thompson. Her unique life experience is infused into each style of the brand. Today, the line focuses on three aspects for the modern woman: comfort, versatility, and sensuality. Clients include women from all walks of life who want to feel as good as they look.

More About Sita Thompson, Founder of SITA Couture

Sita Thompson was raised on an organic farm with both Mexican and Native heritage. She learned to sew as a young girl, and at eleven years old started making her own patterns.

At the age of seventeen, Sita moved to Paris to begin a career in fashion. While she studied in Europe she had the opportunity to intern with Irene Dill, a couture designer, for her private label. She then traveled around the world, spent seven years living in India, immersed herself within various cultures, became fluent in several languages, and learned all about fabrics, design, and beauty. During her time in India, Sita worked as a brand ambassador for multinationals while also studying and performing classical Indian dance. The combination of commerce and art was the creative business inspiration that has become SITA Couture.

Sita has won the National Friendship Committee Award by the former Prime Minister of India for “Being American by Birth, but Indian by Heart and Values – A Role Model for Society.” She is also a Women Business Enterprise National Council Member (WBENC). Sita is part of the LA Trade Tech Board of Fashion Division.

We can’t wait to meet you this Sunday!

Helen Woodward Animal Center Pet Of The Week

All-American Brad!

If Brad went to high school, he would most certainly be the star quarterback on the varsity football team – he’s 56 pounds of pure athleticism. If Brad went to high school, he would be the most popular kid in his class – he can make friends with absolutely ANYONE. If Brad went to high school, he’d probably get decently good grades, good enough to get him into a well-respected state school at least. But Brad didn’t go to high school. Because Brad is a dog. A gorgeous and friendly Australian Cattle Dog – Blue Heeler blend, but unable to read, write, or do simple mathematics – let alone pre-calc. But Brad makes up for his lack of education by being the best boy a dog lover could ask for.

Brad is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. His adoption fee is $345 plus a $36 microchip fee. He has been altered and is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations. He is microchipped for identification as with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are now open seven days a week. Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call 858-756-4117, extension #1, or visit animalcenter.org.
