Vendor Spotlights

Jacy Farm

Welcome to Jacy Farm! We grow a wide variety of pome fruits, stone fruits, berries, and vegetables using organic and sustainable growing practices. We are committed to growing delicious produce organically and supplying seasonal, freshly-picked fruits and vegetables to our community.

Our Story

Jacy Farm is a small organic farm located in Anza, California in the beautiful high desert mountains. The farm was co-founded in 2012 by two couples (Jun & Cho and An & Yoon). The farm’s name was created using the first letter of the last names of these four people (J from Jun, A from An, C from Cho, and Y from Yoon). We love farming surrounded by beautiful nature and are grateful to be a part of the local food system.

Our Practices

We follow organic and sustainable farming practices. No harmful herbicides are used. Some weeds are hand pulled or mowed, while beneficial weeds are left to grow as they add nutrients to the soil and provide habitat for beneficial insects (pollinators and predatory insects). We micro-irrigate for efficient irrigation and target and meter fertilizer use to prevent nutrient runoff. Our natural resource management and biodiversity conservation plans help maintain and improve the soil and water quality and the variety of plants, insects, and microorganisms on our farm. These practices allow us to produce delicious, nutrient dense food.

We can’t wait to meet you this Sunday!

Helen Woodward Animal Center Pet Of The Week

Mama Brie, the Kitty of Love

If Paris is considered the City of Love, then Mama Brie is DEFINITELY the Kitty of Love. The fabulous feline has an affinity for French living. If she could, she would lounge lazily within the tableau of a street-side Parisienne café slurping milk out of a saucer and judging gaudy tourists for their épouvantable fashion sense. Her pet parent would pat her head and give her a scratch behind the ear while they do… whatever it is humans do, and Mama Brie would thank them with the rumble of a purr.  Mais non, la vie d’un chat n’est pas si simple.  For instead of lounging about a street-side Parisian café, Mama Brie lounges around at Helen Woodward Animal Center, looking for her forever family.

Mama Brie is waiting to meet you at Helen Woodward Animal Center. Her adoption fee is $345 plus a $36 microchip fee. She has been altered and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. She is microchipped for identification as with all pets adopted from Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Helen Woodward Animal Center is located at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe. Kennels are now open seven days a week. Monday through Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call 858-756-4117, extension #1, or visit animalcenter.org.
