Our Story

Moment of Truth – The Road to Alternative Medicine

Throughout my childhood my mom had suffered from severe migraine headaches. My sister and I would come home from school and see her in excruciating pain, sometimes preventing her from going to work and spending quality time with our family.

She tried everything the traditional route offered: procedures, prescriptions, new specialists. Nothing brought real relief, and many treatments made her feel worse.

Eventually, we started looking beyond what we had always been told was the only option. My dad encouraged her & our entire family to explore holistic approaches to heal. We began paying close attention to how real, whole foods affected her body.

And slowly, things changed. While not perfect, my mom’s ailments were alleviated over time. Her symptoms softened & our family became ingrained with prioritizing our health. It became our north star.

This was the moment of truth for me. Food was helping her in a way nothing else had. It shifted how I understood health and set the direction for everything that came next.

The Real Problem

As we started changing our diet and paying closer attention to ingredients, we were shocked by how many harmful additives were hiding in foods marketed as a “healthy choice.” Refined sugars, syrups, cheap seed oils, chemicals, & sneaky flavor additives we couldn’t even pronounce. It felt endless.

One of the biggest wake-up calls came in the granola and cereal aisle. So many of the “better-for-you” options were basically candy bars dressed in friendly packaging. Seeing all of this exposed a real problem. If we wanted food that truly supported our health & actually prioritized integrity, we had to rethink what we were reaching for. Something different was needed…

A Solution Rooted in Truth

After seeing what real food did for my mom and realizing how confusing the food industry had
become, one thing became obvious. Health should not feel like a full-time job. None of us
should have to dissect labels or question every ingredient in something as basic as a daily staple.

We deserve better. We deserve food we trust. Food that supports us. Food that tastes incredible without the baggage. Because when we return to what’s real, something shifts. We feel it in our energy, our focus, our mood. You don’t just get through the day, you command it.

I built LÜME for those that demand a higher standard. I built it because I watched real food positively impact my mom & my family’s life.

And it can change yours, too.
